PRESENTATION OF UKRAINIAN LITERATURE IN POLAND: YURI ANDRUKHOVYCH AND HIS VISION OF "EUROPE"

The original meeting of two cultures, Ukrainian and Polish, was a joint Ukrainian-Polish project "My Europe: Two Essays on the oldest part of the world." It's not just two essays of two giants. This is a kind of look at the same thing from different aspects, each feeling "Europe". For Yuri Andrukhovych "Europe" was different, from the early 1990s. Initially it as per the post-Soviet man, seemed like a fairy tale, something beautiful and elusive. Such a "blind love" without critical analysis or vision deficiencies. In the novel "The Secret" (was published in 2007), the writer thinks a lot about "Europe", its history and geography. A. Stasiuk "Europe" it is a variety of goodies. For Y. Andrukhovych it appears "home," which intertwined era style preferences. But "Europe" is different. So apart in Y. Andrukhovych case of "Central Europe", its "historic mission. He draws attention to understand the role of history. Yuri Andrukhovych distinguishes several such visions: the vision of the history of intellectuals "happy community" (which represents the Swedish scientist), "unhappy communities" (those who experienced totalitarian times) and "a radical from Moscow." So, despite globalization and unifying various initiatives, "Europe" is a colorful culture and mentality.

For itself worthy presentation in the "European home" Ukraine as a state should be interested in intensification of cultural exchanges with various countries, especially such as Poland.

Keywords: Yuri Andrukhovych, postmodern literature, Poland, Europe.
